Last night our girl Cotton started her journey to the bridge...
At 3yrs old she was the last from our only litter that was a happy mistake...
Cotton was never alone for long as as soon as her sister crossed the bridge we found 5 new cage mates for her and she was eventually also joined by a sweet rescue called Hope who became her soul mate...
Cotton was a squeaker when she was younger, always protesting when it was end of playtime...As she got older she would seek us out and give a little nip to the side to say "hey I want my ears stroked"...then she would settle beside us for a nap....In her later days she had developed an inoperable tumour and had injured her front paw but she was still lively and happy so we made her comfortable until we knew that choices would soon have to be made...but she took the choice in her own way and passed in our arms peacefully... She will be missed by her family here but she has a huge family waiting for her at The Rainbow bridge...There she is well and surrounded by family waiting for news ...She has Hammocks and Huts and treats galore and never has to share her favorite Rice Pudding treat, but knowing what a sweet girl she is she will not mind occasionally sharing... Safe journey Cotton have fun until the day we will all gather at the bridge and cross over together as one happy bundle of fur
Never a Goodbye...just "See you later our Cotton aka Snow Give our love to all our Ratties"
