She has a small lump on her other side and but other than that she seems ok. She hates being picked up, she lowers herself to the ground. She does not know how to lick food off the fingers, she tried to pull my finger in the box for safe keeping. She kinda just sits in the cage doing not much of anything. I think tomorrow I may take pixie and choxi out on the table and see how they do with her maybe she could have some girl buddies to hang out with I think if i rotated them out, the others might be ok with them being gone. I would assume all she had was that beige girl since they were not treated properly and she is probably lost with no rat friend. I have to figure out what I am going to do with ludo and mally then i will decide from there if i can get her spayed sooner. If not there is a rescue in south bend maybe they have a single girl that she could house with till they can be spayed. When i go to the vet i will ask about spaying I just know they charge 3 times as much as the clinic and I would rather wait. I did email the local rescue to see if they have a girl around her age up for adoptions.

She's a pretty little girl and I love her name, but to me, she looks old.

she does look old. I told them tumors usually start around 17 months old. She is rough shape though once this healthier diet kicks in she might look a little younger lol

If not that is ok too she can live out her life in a real rat environment and at least have the last of her days be happier. I am looking for a girl for her just in case i decide not to spay her.

That's true, some rats change so dramatically when put on a proper diet and proper care.

Aw I hope good food really does improve her condition. I loved seeing the boys' reaction to her. Very funny.

And yeah, she just might end up looking great.
My rats were on a crappy store brand food for gerbils or something for about a month, before I could buy something better. When I started to feed them Oxbow, in a week their fur was super shiny and soft and they were looking all full and nice. And they weren't in any bad condition at all, so I imagine it will do wonders for her!

Any idea if the lump is another tumour? :x

I gave her some out time with Choxi and Pixie. I have been concerned about her body shape. She looks thin from the top but I keep seeing this round and low belly.

She has been treated with revo just in case and she is getting a bit of a shine to her coat. She loves kale, it is so funny to see her eat it.

She weighs 441g last night. To me she doesnt look that big so it helped grow the fear. I doubt she is pregnant but this is why I take boys in and not girls :laugh4:

So Thursday she will be spayed. The appt i have on the 24th of April I will use to have Fabian neutered since he hurt his brother after smelling the box that she had.

I won let her meet the girls anymore. Since she will be spayed soon she can recover and I will test the waters with the rexzillas. If not, I may put her with finley and his boys group so all my groups will have a girl minus the rexzilla monsters

I have no idea and they dont either. The owner just said she wanted them pts, when they told her that Cordelia would live a better life by removing the tumor her owner said "I just want them gone"

So who knows. Sad girl and the idiots owners so anything is possible who knows if she had babies or is she was with males. I just dont want to chance it.

The girl that contacted me has 6 boys in a Super pet cage with the purple floors So I am giving her my other Feisty ferret cage for her boys. She told me how much she hates her cage so I told her that I have one that is rigged from my connecting the cages but she can have it. It still works. All six of her boys are rescues so it is a good place for it to go. I refuse to sell it I just dont want to encourage crappy rat owners LOL so this makes me feel better about getting rid of the cage to a good home.

Me too. I will be nervous for her but I am happy that at least carrie the girl I got her from will be there. So I know someone can pop in and check on her. It is just horrible to see how people treat critters. I hope she can move in with one of these groups and live like a spoiled rattie for at least a little while.

Today is spay day for Cordelia. This is the first surgery since we lost Fred after one in December. I am a bit nervous. Keep your fingers crossed for wee girl. Hopefully I can start putting her in a group in a few days or so.
