Charlie sure loves his new food...

Today, I received my huge 33lbs bag of Harlan Teklad 2014 and my rats got to try it out for the first time!

Well, I had heard that rats love these lab blocks, but I surely didn't expect Charlie to start hoarding them the second he tasted one!
He has become a hoarder in the matter of 30 seconds! XD
He would take one out of the bowl, munch on it for a few seconds, put it down in the pile and start all over again with a new block. :laugh:

Has anyone else experienced this instant hoarding behaviour from theirs rats with a new kind of food?

haha. sure seems that harlan is always the instigator of the hoarding. I'll go visit my rats after I get off work and notice that their food bowl is empty and the moment that they hear that tinkle of the food against the cup they act like they are starving but I can dig around in their cage and find all kinds of food everywhere.. They sure are starving all right. lol

Same thing - there is a serious love affair between rats and their Harlan!
