Cant get stronghold any alternatives?

Really need to treat my ratties asap, I can not get stonghold in the UK without a prescription which I cant get for rats. Is there any alternative that can be used that doesnt need a prescription. Would something like front line be ok?

Hmm I did find a product here in the uk... I'll go look for it and come back to replay with the link.

EDIT; No Frontline will not work it needs to contain Ivermectin.

I'm not sure of the effectiveness of these products as I've never used them, I've only ever used stronghold.

In the mean time if you can't get holds of the treatment asap, you can bathe them in olive oil it will suffocate the bugs but doesn't effect the eggs. I suggest saturating a sponge in olive oil and rubbing it on their fur in stead of dunking them in oil.

Beaphar isn't the best one to use sadly The most effective is Pharma Q Ivermectin, you can order that online.
