Right now I'm looking for a cage to house my six boys (mainly temperary since I'm saving for a FN). I found this cage on Craigslist. Do you think the wire ramps would be bad for the rats?

I have the same cage. It a Midwest Ferret cage. My guys have no trouble with the wire ramps at all, although it's a bitch to clean. My life got a whole lot easier once my boys were litter trained, don't have to clean it as often!

Cool, do you think $60 is a fair price?
My boys are, for the most part, litter box trained, so hopefully cleaning would be a bit easier!

If it comes with all the accessories in the picture I would say $60 is an excellent price. Once you get your FN you should easily be able to re-sell it for the same price.

Yes, $60 is a bargain for a big cage like that! It will keep the boys busy, too, with all the climbing and running up & down.
