Cage experience?

Has any of you tried this cafe with rats?

We can't get them here in Denmark, but i am planning on ordering some from the states, and have them shipped....
I just wanted some feedback from you guys before taking any final decisions..

If you have any experience with cages listed on this page, please post your comments..

At the moment we use the Ferplast Furet XL Cage, but i simply love the big front doors of the shown cage..

since you're in denmark you might want to try the SAVIC "royal suite double" , designed for rats instead of ferrets.
A friend of mine tested the prototype.

Be aware of the bar spacing. If you have females, a ferret cage may have too wide of space between bars - 1 inch sometimes. Females should have 1/2 inch spacing.

So be sure to check on that before purchasing a ferret cage for rats.

The cages we have now are ferret cages - Ferret XL from Ferplast:

(One of our cages - 80 x 75 x 86.5 cm - we have 4 of these)

The bar spacing til 1.8cm (I think) and the girls can't get out. We can put in 5 week old rats that weigh 100g.

The shown cage at the top har 2,2 cm wirespacing, so it propably won't do for rats..

Some people really like that cage.

But that Savic Royal Suite looks wonderful!!!
