Bruxxing rat

I was just reading one of Sheligh's posting about her dear Bronny. She mentioned that bruxxing could be a indication of pain and discomfort. I thought bruxxing was a happy rat. I am confused.

There's a mad/hurting bruxxing and a happy/loving bruxxing.

how are you able to tell the diference?

You really can't tell the difference between the two without first knowing the circumstance. If rattie is in a scary situation like during an into, it's probably stress/fear. If the rattie just finished a plateful of nummies, it's probably content bruxxing.
If ratties is going through a medical issue, it's most likely from pain.
