It was medication time for Cleo. As usual, the boys were clamouring for treats as well-- it keeps them out of her mashed banana/Baytril combo-- so the upstairs door of the DCN was opened to give them some multigrain Cheerios.

Rook was at the door, but Milo was pouring right out of it! He was so excited for treats that he lost his balance and went arse over teakettle out the door. He swung under and grabbed the underside of the upstairs floor with his hands while clinging tenaciously to the edge of the doorway with his feet. Things looked grim for our squishy adventurer.

But wait!

Never one to stand idle while a fellow agent is in danger, Rook reached over and grabbed Milo's foot in his mouth, trying to pull him back into the cage. His quick action was undoubtedly what saved the imperiled houseloaf from certain doooooom.

(Editor's note: Rumour has it that Agent Rook may have had some small assistance from an outside source, possibly 42 rats in a trenchcoat, or one very large and mostly hairless rat with no tail. We here at Breaking Rat News can neither confirm nor deny this information.)

Though they are small, they are mighty. Let no-one doubt the strength of a rat's love for their friends.
