Black tail tip

Hiiiii!!!!

My friend's rat has a hell of a weird tail. It got black at the tip and it looks like there's a string getting out of it. What's up with that?

sounds like the tail was degloved. How long is the "string"

It's maybe.... like... --------- this long and it's very very thin, like a hair and it's black.

But, the tail was fine just this morning and she didin't came out of her cage since then. And it seems to be the same length. So I don't know if it's degloved.

But I know the has some resp problems right now, just got her antiobiotics yesterday. Dunno if that could have something to do with it.

sounds like its been degloved that happend to my ellie girl the black bit fell off and her tails almost normal just not pointy at the tip
