Biscuit passed this morning just after surgery to remove a mass.
he was taken to the vets to remove a soft lump on his side
The op was textbook...but as he was in recovery he stopped breathing
he failed to respond to adrenaline and never made it back
Biscuit came to us with his cagemate Bailey (both Silver fawn berkshires) from a cpl who couldn't
spare the time to look after them properly although they were initially biters
we gained their trust... Bailey suffered a stroke and lost some of his co ordination
but biscuit looked after him through several illnesses as a brother should.
Getting the call from the vets is such a worrying thing, Although we have had several
others in for Ops the anxiety is always there, and the gamble that we take with anesthetic is
something that will always remain for even the easiest of operations. In the end we put our
trust in their hands and hope for the best the majority it is a good ending, but sometimes
the result is not what you wished for.
Biscuit will now be playing over the bridge with all his friends free of any lumps and bumps.
Play Hard little one, we will take care of your brother untill he joins you.
Never a Goodbye...just "see you later at the bridge our princes"
