Hi guys, today I realized that Oreo has a dime-sized, open wound right above her weiner. It looks like what remains after an abscess has burst, but I haven't felt any lumps or bumps at all anywhere on her yesterday, or the day before. There is blood around the area, but I don't think it is bleeding anymore. She doesn't seem in pain at all.

For an abscess, from what I've seen, the wound seems pretty clean and OK, but should I put something like neosporin on it? It is in an area where she can easily lick.

Did the video link not post?

yep, looks like an abscess - you will need to flush it with saline and don't put anything on it - it needs to heal from the inside out. You can look up abscesses on ratguide.com

Thanks, that's what I suspected.

Any opinion on how bad or good it's healing?

Oreo ripped open her scab and now it is bleeding. :c
It looks very clean and pink, however. No pus, smell, or dirt-- it is an area that she can very easily clean and keeps clean. However, I imagine that I shouldn't flush it when it is open, because that will just hurt, right?
I made a solution with about 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and around 1 cup of water.

Is it flat and just an open area of tissue now? There's no lump underneath?

Keep flushing for now, try the ibu if she's too obsessive in her cleaning and may be impeding healing, and if it heals great, if not I would get her to the vet just to make sure its not something else.
