OK, I don't want to start a scare or anything but I have to ask this.

I was at the pet store the other day (my local fav) showing off Pearl and Olivia to the owner who is my friend after we went to the vet. I told one of the girls who works there and is pretty knowledgable that Pearl was on Baytril. She gave me this funny look. She said she was told that if Baytril is given improperly they can make the animal blind. She was told this with her cat and I think the cat is taking pills. She took her cat off the baytril because she would rather deal with the cat's snot everywhere (her words) then deal with the prospect of the cat going blind.

Has anyone heard anything about that.

I have not heard of this ever.
If the cat is having respiratory issues, then she really needs to be on meds. Myco is bad in cats as well.

eta: I just did a quick google search and it is a rare but severe side effect in cats only. That person should ask for a different med for their cats.
