Baby Cereal

So what's the scoop on this? I see that many of you feed your ratties baby cereal. Why? Which brand? How prepared? Etc.

I don't do it. But you need something with whole wheat, nothing corn based.

Nursing moms, weaning babies, eldery or ill ratties are often fed baby cereal for extra protien or because they aren't able/interested in eating much. I mix it in with meds to make the meds taste better.
It can be mixed with ensure, soy baby formula or water.

I usually pick the oatmeal or mixed grains for B/D months old (youngest I can find), as I don't want any/much salt.

I give it as a very occasional treat. I choose something like apple and like SQ said, low salt etc. You can just put water with it.

The boys eat organic rice baby cereal. I simply mix with water and they love it. Occassionally I do add soem other flavorings, but they seem to like it any way its served
