They are doing really well! Chip and Dale went to their forever him last week and Tilly and Lucie will have their home here.
Sorry I got so behind with pictures, there has been a whole lot going on here. Most of the insanity started on Feb 27th when I woke up to Tilly screaming in pain any time anyone came near her, rat or human. She also would scream in pain any time she peed or moved or groomed or anything. I had no idea what was going on so I had to rush her to the vet. Luckily Dr. Munn was able to see us. She ended up diagnosed with a UTI and put on clavamox. It worked well! Today is her last day of meds and she is back to normal. It was bump there though, when you have a young, 5 week old rat screaming in pain with nothing overtly wrong with them, its horrifying! Dale was an amazingly awesome big brother though, he stuck by Tilly and made her feel comfortable. He even fended off everyone else until she was feeling better! It was so adorable!
By the next day she was starting to feel better and was playing a bit more, but you could really tell when the advil wore off. I had to make sure that I gave it to her on time or else I would be hearing her screams.
Here she is when the advil was working:
And her sister Lucie on the same day
After that we went to take the boys to their new home. There story is continued elsewhere, but here is a cute picture from the car ride there. The girl in the tim hortons drive through really got a kick out of them when they were doing this.
After this time it was difficult to get good pictures of them. They run around so much! They are very active girls. Right now, they live in a cage that is a bit small for them, but they spend most of the day out anyway. I recently gave them a shelf in their cage and they really seem to enjoy it. Right now, I'm sitting on the bathroom floor as they are running into and out of and play-fighting in my pj pant legs >.<
Here are some random pics, enjoy!
