My girlfriend and I just relocated to the area and need a place to rent.

If anyone lives in the area and has ratters and in an apartment complex, could you give me the name of your complex? I am having a bit of an issue finding a place that will let me have them. I never realized how crazy people get over small animals.

Thanks.

I always ask if they allow small caged pets, like hamsters.
:yeah:

I live across the SF Bay so I can't really help out in terms of recommendations, but the "Eww Rats" sentiment is all over. You're going to get a lot of negative response if you mention outright that you have them - the renters always fear that if your kiddos escape, they're going to get in the walls, multiply, and cause all sorts of damage.

Its easiest to target the complexes that allow dogs and/or cats - they normally don't mind if you have small caged critters. Be prepared to have to pay a "in case your pet destroys the apartment" security deposit though. I have both hamsters and rats, so I'll mention the former and ... er, omit the latter.

Most renters advertise on Craigslist so be sure to check there.
