It's been a year and two-thirds. 20 short months since opening the rescue. Today, we sent rat number 250 to his forever home, a sweet boy named Lincoln who was surrendered as a lone boy to the rescue. A boy who now has a cage full of friends, toys, and hammocks, and most importantly a wonderful, caring owner.
I'd like to thank everyone for helping me and CCH get to this point. It's a huge milestone for us, and I couldn't have done it without the majority of people here. I am completely humbled by the determination, support, and seemingly endless amount of love shown here.
Here's to the 249 rats before Lincoln, and to the hopefully hundreds more after him.
