2013 Gardens!

So I'm so excited about the fact that I have finally made a balcony garden that I just have to post about it. (I live on the third floor, so I never really thought to grow things until doing research this year.) So I wanted to show mine off, and see everyone else's gardens this year!

This is for green beans that I will be planting either Sunday or Monday

The red pots are Strawberries, the green pot is supposedly Mixed Berries (its what the tag says..so we'll see lol)

This is cucumbers. We will eventually pull out the plant that lags behind, and as it grows, we will train it to go across the railing, (we hope)

This is George. I always wanted a Gnome.

Very nice... I suck!! Had the intention ... have a backyard, got a book for inspiration, have gardening tools, have seeds.... No idea where the book is, tools sit in the garage, and seeds are still in the package (some where) :emb: I do know where the backyard is - that hasn't moved, but no garden...... Happy growing....

That looks like a great setup! Nice to have a balcony garden. Youll enjoy sitting there in the summer. And if you added some runner beans you'd attract hummingbirds...

Its my first time ever gardening, so I'm taking things slow. I'm excited about it all though. I am going to add some solar lights along the wooden fence. I have no patio light at all.

Its a great feeling to be able to look out at stuff you've grown and raised yourself, isn t it? your patio space looks lovely.

So my cucumber plant is growing like crazy. I did pinch off some early flowers so it can concentrate more on growing right now.
My green beans are sprouting really well also.
I have a few green strawberries popping up on one of my plants, the other has developed one flower so far.
The berry plant, not sure how well its doing lol. Some days it looks wilted, other days more flowers are showing up.

I am excited ^_^
