Wound on the tip of the tail

The other day Basil injured his tail during the middle of the night. I heard a extremely loud "scream" that scared me half to death. His tail was in the girls cage (the boys are in a CN and have the top unit). I think one of the girls saw the tail and grabbed it to pull it in or he somehow got it stuck. When I tried to get the tail out it was stuck somehow in the bars or in one of the girls mouths. It was dark so I couldn't really see, I just panicked and tried to get it out. The skin on the tip looks like it's missing and there is dried blood on it. It's not bleeding now though and he seems fine. Is there anything I need to watch for?

Just watch to make sure that it heals. Normally if the bone is denuded, it will dry up and fall off, and then the skin will heal over.
