What is baytril?

Not sure if I'm spelling it right. I've heard of it before, but I was wondering what it is, and what it's used for.

Antibiotic used in respiratory issues and other illness in our ratties.

when i first saved the two babies in my avatar, they had a resp infection... i'm not sure what the antibiotic was called that she gave to me, my vet. i can't remember what she said it was, if she even told me... but maybe this was it. she gave me that and something for their eyes... they had a hard time opening their eyes and they were full of crusties... so i used that on their eyes for about a week before their eyes were perfectly fine, but gave them the antibiotic for about a week and half twice a day.

Baytril is the brand name, the med name is Enrofloxacin.

It's an antibiotic. It's probably the most commonly used for rats.
