Now that there is warmer weather comming up soon (hopefully here in central new york it's been pretty cold lately) is there anything I should be worried about? I've never read anything about it but can my rats over heat? Will I need to be more concious about there water bottle (I fill both of them once a day neither of them have ever been completley emtpy).

Rats adapt fairly well but there are a few things you can do to cool them off. Some people like to put in frozen water bottles, cover them up with a sock. Have a fan nearby, cover part of the cage so there's no direct sunlight. You might observe your rats being a lot more tired, not as energetic, eat less and when they sleep, they might flatten themselves. Make sure they have fresh water at all times. You could also give more fruits like watermelon and berries. Give them frozen grapes, that should keep them cool for a bit.
