I was sent this on one of my Yahoo Groups, and thought it was interesting. I am going to take a peak, I hope the sky is clear here.

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

I got that email, and ya...that happened in 2003...

But tonight, starting at 1245 pacific standard time, there will be a total lunar eclipse....245am-442am will be the peak time.

I am in washington state, so I dunno what time for everyone else....

I just saw it on the news!!
