Sorry if there is already a thread like this! I searched and could not find any thing.
I recently decided to switch to using bedding(carefresh ultra, the white stuff that is much less dusty than the regular) for my ratties in their double critter nation. Upon searching for replacement pans I found about the Bass pans and that they must be painted and allowed to cure before use. I understand that is the case with the galvanized pans as they are prone to absorbing urine and stinking. What about the stainless steel pans? Will painting them be necessary too? I chose to order those ones despite they are almost twice the cost because of that, but I'm still not sure...
