SQ and I found out recently that our Edie, Rhonda, and Lyman may be the last three survivors of the two litters of Hampton rescue ratties. They were the 24 rattikins from two pet store surprises; SQ played a big role in finding homes for most of them.

Here are Edith and Rhonda on their second birthday: May 4, 2007

Rhonda is failing: she has an enlarged heart and takes a lot of medication so that she can breathe. She also has hind-end degeneration.

It's sad when very special kids are the end of their line, but worse I guess when any of their line is too many to find good homes.
I'm glad these 3 precious girls have been loved and cared for. I'm sorry Rhonda is having troubles, but you wouldn't be here unless she was one of the lucky ones who has someone to love her thru it.
Happy (very belated 2nd) Birthday pretty ladies!
