Ratties rescued from Alabama!

Yesterday we rescued two boys and two young girls from a no-kill shelter somewhere in the wilds of Alabama. We haven't named any of them yet and they also came with a little added surprise!

This is the little berkie girl. She was shy until I blew bubbles on her belly, now she's beginning to relax and settle in.

This is the new mother in her privacy loft. She's was a little bitey until she realised I'm on her team.

Father suspect#1. He is high-strung and very bitey. He put a big boo-boo on my finger!

Father suspect#2, he is a very laid back dude.

Here's the babies! I think there is seven of them, but I don't want to interfere too much, because all this is new to mom.

All this is concerning to me. What are these strange noises?

The babies look like a couple of berks, one BEW or PEW (I'm hoping for a BEW), a hoodie (maybe). definite color variations among them.

I can't say I hold them at fault for biting me. They are way less freaked out now, and easier to handle. Perhaps they realised I don't taste good at all

We have named the girls Posey and Mommy. The boys' names are still pending. Poor guys haven't got a lot of attention with all the goings-on, but they don't seem to mind. They love their new 4-level accomodations and their delicious new diets!

I hope to post new pics of the babies sometime this weekend. They are almost as big as their tiny Mommy 8)
