I apologize for just jumping in and not making an introduction first, but I figured I could do that when my little girlies finally come home!

I'm a new-to-rats owner but not a new-to-rodents owner. I finally decided on the single-level CN for my little girls and am in the process of making/getting shelf liners and hammocks (I'm going to use a BASS pan for the bottom level).

However, I kind of want to create some one-of-a-kind hammocks/liners for my babies and I was wondering if anyone knew of any dyes that could be used on the fabric that won't cause problems for the rats if they chew on it.

Would vegan hair dye (like Manic Panic) work for something like this? Or are there any other brands/types of dye that anyone on here has used with good results?

Thanks guys! ^_^

I couldn't find anywhere what it says it's made of. But, if you would allow a baby near that dye, sucking on it, then I'd say it's safe.
