Hi, I've just been offered a 10 month old dumbo rat. This is awesome cause ive been asking around for quite awhile now. I wanted to know if 10 months is too old to start a new bond with a rat and have a strong connection with him/her , also Im interested in whistle training. is 10 months too old to start something like this??? Thank you

One rat that I truly bonded with was 18 months old when I got her. She was so amazing and she always wanted to be with me.
CongRATS!!!!

It is never "too old" to bond with a rat.
But you certainly need to have 2 rats. Rats are extremely social animals and have to live in at least pairs if not more. They require a lot more attention, space, and research than most people think. If you haven't really researched rats you should make sure they are a pet that will suit you.

Also what is whistle training?

(I live in Montreal as well right now)
