They put him on a 4 wheeler and transported him to open water where he was released.
There was good footage of it on the news ... might be on the internet somewhere.

Oh that is great......I thought that was what they were doing....but I wasn't sure if they released him close by where they found him or not...

I liked the way that the guy patted it as if to reassure it. Must have been terrifying to be caught in that mud; the stuff looks like glue.

He is just a wee squeak of a thing, they just scooped him up in their arms.
Now he can tell all his friends that he got to ride on an ATV. Not many porpoises can say that!
