I have another question. It'll be the last one. I hope. :giggle:

Twice while petting Bean she has grabbed my finger in her mouth. I feel her teeth, but she does not bite down. I don't think she's trying to bite me, but it does have me a little scared. I know if they do bite I could end up bleeding a lot. I am really scared of blood, so I worry it could happen. Any ideas what she is really doing? Like a puppy is she tasting me?

You are right to be concerned and best to correct that behaviour immediately. Many rats do this, rarely do they break skin but sometimes they get overly excited and still it should be unacceptable. Each time she does this, squeak very loudly at her until she releases. For most rats, that's all they need.
