Dr. Shawn Finch, currently located at the Bansfield in Petsmart at the Shadow Lake mall in Papillion, is fantastic!
She is so caring, loving, and gentle with our rats and all pets. She updates her facebook with things going on at the hospital, and keeps a personal pet-and-vet related blog. She has four hairless rats herself, and is training the other vet at that hospital in small animal care.
She performed a neuter on our male, Jack, and he had no complications. She emailed us via facebook afterward, asking us how he was doing. She prescribed Izzie her seizure medicine, at the right dosage the very first time. When Jack started losing the ability to usehis hind legs, she did a neurological exam, gave him a steroid shot, and prescribed glucosamine for him to take every day.
To give you an example, she did a spay on a little dalmation kitten and made sure to sew all his little spot-halves back together, just the way God intended.
She is very sweet, caring, knowledgable, and understanding. I couldn't ask for a better vet and friend.
