Neutering

Anyone know of a place that will do a cheap neuter for rats? I've contacted about 10 vets, and the cheapest seems to be about $160. I am in London and can go as far as Toronto.

Update: Scratch that. I am going to the vet that performs surgeries for me. About an hour away, but his price is $73. :happydance:

Yeah! Who is it, lj? And where is their practice? Is that their regular price or a special price for you because you're a rescue? Would you believe my rat vet quoted me $325?!? I just kinda went, :shock: :thud:

oooh -- do pray tell that it's in my direction... :cheeky: (though i kinda doubt it - i think i looked this vet up once long ago...). I currently go over to the states to find a vet who'll do it -- I'd much rather stay here and would drive a bit to do it!!
