i looked in the search for an answer but couldn't find one , my rats nails are getting LONG and they hurt when i let her play with me , what should i do to trim them? She isn't doing it on her own i don't think i can use nail trimmers?

You can use nail clippers, but it is often a case of only doing one nail at a time and letting them scamper around. I would only do the rear nails.

Some people have luck adding large stones to the cage in strategic areas, like under the water bottle.

Be careful not to cut into the wick when trimming the nails and have something handy to stop bleeding in case you do.
Sometimes a treat will help to distract them briefly while you trim nails.
Or ... you can get your vet to do it ...

Groomers don't want to be scratched up by little ratty nails any more than we do!

Honestly, I can't see taking a rat to a groomer having any benefit.
