mixing male and female

I'm thinking of getting two rats from my local humane society. They have a male and a female that are both adorable 1 month old ratties. It says that they were litter mates, and that the female is fixed, however the male isn't. Would it even be an option to put the male and the female together? I wouldn't think twice if the female wasn't fixed but she is.

if the female is fixed and its positive that shes fixed i don't see why not
they can be a cute couple without the oops

male and female colonies are one of the most beatiful things to watch IMO.
If the female is altered, then I say go for it!
Just make SURE, 100% shes been spayed....
