Well, for those who don't know... I lost the last boy out of the "Marco & Polo era" yesterday afternoon. Even though my heart is broken,
I am wanting to post a happier topic to commemorate the BOTH of them with some of my favourite pictures taken throughout their lives.
(Feel free to move this post to Memorials, I just didn't post it there since I already have a short write-up for each of them there.)
The first week I brought them home:
Marco doing what he loved most - burrowing. He looks SO young in this shot.
Another one of him, taken on the same day I believe...
Polo, one of the few times I caught him standing still
Another one of Marco's favourite activities - tubes!
The first year, in general
This is an overly-posted shot.. but it is the best one I had taken of the two together
Marco with one of the "buckwheat balls" I made them.
Polo, with one of HIS favourite activities - pea fishing!
Marco, on the other hand, wasn't a big fan of the effort that had to be put forth in it.
Bath time! (I believe this was his first one with me)
The two of them in my friends camera bag. This is the typcial "freeze" pose Marco would do with Polo whenever
he thought he was too much in Polo's space or if Polo was getting upset with him.
Christmas morning
Another Christmas morning shot
Polo dragging an empty water bottle. Not sure why but he always loved finding these around the room.
The day they got their first car
Showing off his extra cozy bunk
Climbing my leg, he would do this from my feet all the way to my shoulder, without any help. Even when he was much older.
And before I get too carried away with the photo's... I'll post this one last photo of Polo doing what he was the most known
for on here - jumping like a lunatic.
