i recently got 2 new rats who are around 9 weeks old and i am currently trying to introduce them to my 2 older rats who are almost 2 years old, my older rats are obviously feeling territorial when the new rats are near their cage and they show this by flicking their tails and sometimes stamping their back feet, i have been using the bath method and they seem fine while in there, they eat and groom while in there together and i sometimes hear them bruxing but i can’t keep them in there for long enough for them to actually bond with each other as my older two just jump out. i have tried the carrier method but my older two also find this stressful. so i was just wondering if there were any tips on helping them get along.
