My rat Daya was climbing up the side of an old cage with a bad locking mechanism, and the door flew down and she fell. She got back up instantly, licked her hand, and started to bounce off before I scooped her back up.
I know when they lick one hand it could be hurt, and it was. Photo attached.
She didn't squeak and it doesn't seem to be bothering her, but it is worrying me. I will check and see if it is better or worse tomorrow.

The first photo was from less than half an hour after she hurt it 12/30/19, and the 2nd is a closeup of her hand from today.

Could it be broken? She rinsed it with water immediately after injuring it.

It could be broken... Not much a vet could do but give pain medication... I would watch her movement and reduce stress and climbing if possible...

Here's a current picture for anyone wondering.
She is using her finger just fine and it doesn't seem to be bothering her. I hope it isn't broken or fractured.
