I have two rats, Timon and Ducky. About 6-7 months old. A few days ago I noticed that Timon was getting pinned by Ducky a lot more and that she was squeaking quite a bit. The past few days she seems a little less active (although she still did run around quite a bit). Today I noticed that she wasn't using one of her front paws at all. She wouldn't walk or use it to help hold her food. She doesn't seem to mind if I touch the leg or if I rub the shoulder area. I can also rotate it and she doesn't seem to mind.

Other than cuts, I have never dealt with an injured rat, only sick ones. Does she need a vet or or is this just a "sprain" or something that will heal on it's own?

I'm guessing she's only sprained and will recover fast... sprains are so common in rats, they usually bounce back within a few days. I would just keep an eye on it.
