Thanks, I made this post about 10 years and 7 months ago …… where did all the time go
and I still have this cage LOL
btw, I also have a grid in the lid
and if I were to do this again, I would not put a grid in both long sides
A bin cage can make a wonderful carrier, or a great temporary cage for rats
But is not a good permanent cage ….. and a large one can be a pain to clean
I keep mine handy in case of emergency because if there was a fire etc , the cage is sturdy and does not have base that might separate as we escaped from the house.
