help introducing to new cage (avoiding stress)

well, finally arrived, it costed me a small fortune, but my new cage is here, its hand made, 4 floors, fall proof, etc etc, its lovely

but, my rats are hating it, i put some of theyr old things on the cage, but they all go to floor 1 and sleep there, afraid of exploring, i can see a high nivel of stress, one try to push the bars with his teeths.

what can i do to minimize stress?

I would put tasty treats everywhere, and spread their stuff from the old cage around the new one. New places for rats are dangerous until they decide otherwise. There could be predators lurking around the next corner! Thankfully they are curious, so give them time...

i did that, it helped but now they eated everything and are in floor 1 again.

i will wait, lets see if they go explore a little :lol:
