My boys are on Harlan 2018 right now (and have been since I brought them home)
Last time I ordered 15 pounds and split it with my sister in law, my half has lasted about 3 months.
(But I did get two more boys in the middle of that time.)

I found an excellent deal on a 40 pound bag, but was wondering if that would be too much to stay fresh?
I currently have 4 boys (but am hoping to add at least 2 more in the next couple of months)

My sister in law only has two. But if I give her about 10 pounds that would probably last her 6 months or so (I think)
and then I would have 30 pounds left for my 4 (maybe 6 ) boys....

I just do not want to buy that much (even if it is a good deal)
if it would not be any good for them by the time we use it up?
Maybe you more experienced guys would know.
I do have extra freezer space for storing some, if that helps.

It is good for 6 months after the mill date,
1 year after the mill date if repackaged and frozen.

Once you open a bag of blocks, they will go stale in 3 months.
