Since my girls came home with me last night I figured there wasn't any reason left to put off introductions! So, without further ado...meet the gang.
Whitters is the human, though she's hardly the important one ;-). She's a 24-year-old graduate student studying Media Arts and first-time rat owner from Pittsburgh, PA. She's loved rats all her life but never had the chance to get any (due to living at home with a mother who looks at rats as nothing but disease-carrying mongrels). She's a freelance web developer and works full-time at IKEA. Currently she's living in a small apartment with her long-time best friend and enjoying everything that the city has to offer (since she grew up in a very small town).

Flip is an agouti hooded girl. She's extremely curious and loves climbing all over the inside of her new Critter Nation home. She loves broccoli and nibbling on Whitters' finger nails.

Flop is a black irish girl. She's a lot more cautious than her sister, but is beginning to adapt to her new home. She's a bit cage aggressive at times, but once the doors are open she's back to her sweet, loving self.

I adopted Flip and Flop from the Pittsburgh Rat Lovers Club which is a club/group rescue here in Pitt. They were surrendered to the club because their owner was allergic to them. At the time of surrender, their owner said they were about 3 months old, but their foster mom thinks that they were a little small for that, so we're not sure how old they are (somewhere between 3 and 5 months we guess). They haven't been handled a lot, but (so far) neither of them are biters and they warmed up quickly to their foster mom and I hope they do the same for me. ^_^

More pics definitely coming once I get their cage completely set up. I've got a lovely black-painted BASS pan curing in the basement that I hope I can add soon, since the girls seem to LOVE playing in the pan of Eco-Bedding that I have under their ramp.
