ear tumor?

One of my mothers rats (Cloud) seems to have a mass that is growing inside his ear. Before we assumed that he had scratched his ear, thus the bleeding but after cleaning it off we saw the mass.

I'm confused since I haven't heard of bleeding tumors. I'm hoping that someone might beable to help us clear this up and understand the problem better.

My girl, Emma, had a tumour in her ear. She scratched at it and it bled quite a bit.

My vet put her on Metacam and a topical steroid to hopefully shrink the tumour. The metacam made her less uncomfortable so she didn't scratch at her ear, but she got a very bad infection later on.

I certainly hope for cloud's sake that it's not a tumour. Here is Emma's thread to compare:

Maybe it's a polyp? Hopefully it's nothing serious.
