OMG  The intro went much better than we could of hoped.
Alfie, Fidget and Oscar took to eachother immediately, Grooming, lying beside one another and all done in a friendly manner. !!
At one point Alfie rolled Fidget over pinning him and Fidget submitted straight away which surprised us because out of Fidget and Oscar, Fidget was the Alpha but he seems happy to hand that role over to Alfie at the moment and we were delighted with the outcome of our first Intro.
Of course we will exercise caution and will take the intro's slowly but we couldn't of hoped for a better first meeting and already feel confident that they boys will be happy together.
Here are some pics of their meeting.. ( Note * the red you can see in the picture is raspberry Yoghurt not blood which Alfie happily dragged his testicles through) :p

Thank you so much Jo.... A lot of this is down to the advice and info given to us from you and the rest of the posters on Rat Shack... We are so happy with the first intro... but we know there is still more work to be done

Thank you

Thanks Mamarat :)
Just done second intro and it went as well as the first... Gave them 15 mins in the tub and then 15mins roam on bathroom floor...Alfie and Fidget are just like long lost brothers with Fidget grooming Alfie even around his mouth  ... They settled down in a corner for a group hug and snuggle...
The only sign of any Dominant behaviour was at first intro with Alfie pinning Fidget, But even this was done in a genltle way from Alfie :)
Oscar as is his nature seems to take a while to get into the fun but he's getting more TLC and has progressed slowly, but loves the snuggle with Alfie when they all squish down and get cosy.....never took pics this time but will take more tommorow and keep you all updated :D

Today is day 2 of the intros ( 3rd intro) and everything has been going perfect so far... Lots of cuddles and playing together and generally showing affection as a group which is very pleasing to see.
This has surpassed our expectations and we are absolutly delighted.
Today we got them on the bathroom floor and added there favorite tent which is used often by them all.. to our surprise they all huddled up in it without incident.
Tonight we are going to up the stakes and bring them all into the main living area where Alfie has his out time and see how that goes..
I have my concerns because they are not forced to socialise but i will give it a go and see how they react.
On a different note... I'm following up another lead and may have 2 baby dumbo rats by the middle of next month... will keep you posted on that story.

Yvonne, you have a very special group of rats there. I have to say, I'm quite surprised it's going so well. But so very happy for you!!

My goodness! This is going so well! Sometimes you just get three wonderful ratties and they just get along right away! This is certainly going to be a very happy trio!! Yvonne, what kind of cage do you have? If you get those 2 dumbos, will you need another cage? The intros are going great! It's a real testament to how great Alfie really is!

Hey.. Here is a photo of the cage which is now home to my three boys Alfie, Oscar and Fidget.
I need some more toys in there for the younger boys but Alfie simply hates hammocks tubes or anything that moves when he walks on it... Must be old age..

Well guys, Alfie had his first sleepover and it went perfectly. Not once have any of the boys fought.. Its unbelievable.!!
We didn't intend for things to move so quickly but after seeing no friction whatsoever we figured it was worth giving it a try and not put off the inevitable.. it paid off
Seeing Alfie snuggled up with his new brothers warmed our hearts deeply and our only regret is that we didnt do it sooner.
They have 3 weeks of bonding to do before i ship in the next two boys so should be fun... I'm stopping at 5 though... Honest.... * coughs.. !
