We've had our sweet rattie boys for 3 weeks and a day. I've noticed that they're filling out quite nicely, but have no idea how old they may be. Is there a way to figure out their ages? They're both Russian Blues and not Dumbos like the pet store claimed. Should I call them to see if there is an age record on them? I would like to know just for record keeping purposes incase they ever need vet care. Thanks

If it's your typical pet store who get their stocks from rat mills or breed their own I doubt they will have records but it's always worth a try. Most rats are very young when sold, from 4 weeks to 2 months. I rarely see older rats in pet stores unless they are returns. There's also a huge difference in size from 4 weeks to 2 months. Can you show us a picture of the boys? We could try and give our best guess.
