I don't think I've come across this cage before, anyone familiar with it?
It's on the pricey side but free shipping and I think it'd be a good floor size for older rats

anyways, just thought I'd share for people on the look out for cages

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rabbit-Ferret-Chinc ... 1087wt_704

Product Features :

- Powdered Coated Finish
- Large Front Door (21" x 11.5")
- 2 Units Heavy Duty Plastic Cups - 5"Diameter x 3"High
- 2 Feeder Doors (5.75" x 4.25") With Dorp Pins

- Slide Out Bottom Metal Grate (0.25" x 1.75"Square). Heavy Duty Casters and Plastic Tray
- Dimension: 38"L x 23"D x 38"H. Cage Only: 38"L x 23"D x 20"H
- Bar Spacing: 1/2"
- Color: Antique Silver

Needs some levels but that could be done easily with a few hammocks... I like the floor space and the fact that its off the ground to make it easier to clean and interact with your rats. The cage calculator says its good for five rats, but if you have adult boys I would only put four max.

Nice find!

I like that it is powder coated too, rat appropriate spacing and on wheels :)

I think with some toys, hide outs and hammocks, it would totally work :)

and almost forgot...it has a large door!!!!!! YAY!!

- Slide Out Bottom Metal Grate (0.25" x 1.75"Square)

I assume the cage does with ^ ...
I think most ppl would cover them anyways :)

figured I could put the pics :)

It's not bad but for the price I would opt for a CN.

I hear you, but what if you don't need a monster cage ?!
in my case, I only keep 2 rats at the office, a CN would be totally overkill and way too big.

agreed that a single FN/CN might work just fine in that case :)

they probably come up to a similar height overall, but the inside of this one is not as tall.
I think the single CN is like 34" and this one is 20" for the inside height.
Like I said in the original post, I really thought it would work great for older rats who do not climb or need levels but rather like a simple 1 level foot print, without a tall plastic pan :)
