As long as you're careful to make sure the wood is untreated!

alfalfa is ok, they can't digest just like how we don't digest the cellulose in corn. It doesn't harm us, just goes right through. Alfalfa is a good source of fiber.

aw ok good to know. thanks guys for answering about this. i did decide to offer it to them (if not they chew my cage lol) and they seem to love chewing on this.(wood sticks they seem bored with) also got them some bird toys to chew/play with.
