So as some of you know I have been teaching for the last 8 months in the northern Northwest Territories in a very remote community. About a month ago I decided that this would be my only year up here. It's a beautiful area and it has been a wonderful experience but the negatives (poor attendance, crazy roommate, all around bad attitudes) have really been wearing on me so I decided to look elsewhere for next year.

Today I accepted a position in Thompson MB (I know not the safest city) as a full time high school physics teacher! Now comes the stressful part of finding a place to live and actually moving :(

Any advice and well wishes are appreciated!

no advice, but congratulations!! will you be looking for another roommate or trying to get a place on your own?

I will definitely be trying to get my own place but housing can be tight in Thompson so I might not have a choice.

Thanks everyone! It's actually the move from Paulatuk to Ontario I am dreading the most. I am going to have to leave a lot of stuff behind because it's not worth paying to have it moved.
