All I can do is just keep an eye on them and see what happens, I know it's not ideal though. I'm hoping they're not pregnant though - they have both "nested" a bit, but just seems like normal nesting hopefully. The youngest baby was eating quite well tonight too (for the first time really, she usually just hides).

Thank you. :)

The great news is - the girls aren't pregnant :D I think it was just that they have been bred so much (which they definitely have been, for maybe over a year?).

The not so good news, one of the girls (Rose) had a strange lump appear on her arm/shoulder. Later on the arm looked bruised and swollen. She never limped though and didn't seem sore - was really strange. She's had metacam and it looks okay now... no idea what was going on.

I also managed to get a really bad bite from one of the girls, Elsie. She is really timid and nervous so not too suprising.

What great news that you don't have multiple litters to re-home!

Sorry about your bite - I hope Elsie will gain some confidence and trust once she's been with you for a while....

So many girls and 3 possibly pregnant if not all of them??? Wow what a load to carry on, you're quite the brave amazing person! I hope you're able to foster them all up so you can find them good homes and that if there are babies, they are in good hands!

Just a quick update, they are definitely not pregnant :D They have been meeting up with the other group of girls for playtime, so 24 of them in total. They are getting on really well (it means getting 24 ratties into carriers and taking them upstairs to the big playroom then trying to catch them all at the end of it though!). Elsie is a really nervous girl but she's getting better. Just so glad none of them are pregnant.

That is awesome. You were very lucky! I know the feeling of carrying so many rats for out time. When I do intros with my massive rat groups it is a challenge just to get them all out of the rat room LOL
