I would say fur. But then we say hands and feet when it should be paws.

And we're parents to our kids too!
Come to think of it some of us resemble the standard haired/furred, some are more like the double rex and some the hairless. And then there's the ear resemblance..... but I've never seen a rattie with a roman nose.
