Our new girls and Cobbys future girlfriends are not fond of us or anyone. I have left the cage door open and they wont even come out of it. LOL that is the first for me.

I am attempting to bribe them out slowly with a bit of food on my finger.

I actually started feeding them in the cage with the kissy noise. I always make that noise when treats are involved. Mostly so i can get them front and center when needed.

They responded well to the cage treats so I moved to the door.

I had a lot of "hanging" time with my finger.... It is a slow process.

I dont know if these guys ever had out time. You can tell how low to the ground they are they have zero confidence.

I havent been a fan of the down the shirt trick. Something about fear poop in my shirt that just turns me off on that.

I've never been able to do the down the shirt thing either, I have no boobs so they just end up in my lap...
You'll win them over soon.. My most successful come-on has always been to put them on my bed with me while I watch TV and ignore them til they come to me, then I give them a treat from my hand and ignore them. Gradually the hand reaches out less and they have to seek it. In time when they have to crawl over me to reach my hand to get the treat they are pretty trusting..

You are doing great strides already. I bet it won't take long.
I like Fidget's idea too especially if you have a lot of time to just hang out.

When I can put them with Cobby, that is what they will get a lot of. He sits on the couch with me. I just want to make sure they are healed up a bit and not sick at all. So far so good. A few sneezes but it is a new house to them. It hasnt went anywhere else. They seem to be doing good from the spays they are just a bit sore on occasion. I am trying to let them adjust to the house I dont know if they had dogs at the fosters house or what they are used to noise wise before I let them met cobby.

I just havent had a lot of luck of rats that hate people actually liking people. These two are strange even my people hating rats will run out of the cage door when it is open, not these girls lol
