If you happen to be around Philadelphia on May 19, come check The Travelin' Rat out at Petapalooza at The Ryerss Museum (Burholme Park, 7370 Central Ave, Philadelphia)! Philly Rat Rescue will also be there. If you're not in the area, think about making a trip and include a visit to the Philadelphia Zoo to see their rat exhibit. Megabus services Philadelphia, so you might get a good round-trip deal!

Thanks to Philly Rat Rescue for this info: Just some background that you might not know about the facility where PETPALOOZA is being held on May 19th in Philadelphia: The Ryerss family lived in the 1800s, and owned the former Ryerss mansion located in what is now Burholme Park in Northeast Philadlephia. They had a great love for animals, and were instrumental in both the founding and the funding of the PA SPCA and the American Anti-Vivisection Society. In their honor and memory, the Ryerss Museum holds the annual Petpalooza every year, to showcase area animal rescue groups and to help us receive publicity and support, as well as to help find good homes for our animals! After Petpalooza, feel free to tour the museum (free admission!), and be sure to see the pet cemetery in the rear of the mansion, where the Ryerss family had their own beloved pets buried. (Note: There is ample free parking on site as well.)
